How to use the fence panel calculator
Plan a straight run of fence using a chosen panel width, with posts at both ends.
Worked example
For a 12 m straight run with 1.83 m panels, round up 12 ÷ 1.83 to seven panel bays and allow eight posts.
Before you order
For a straight run with no gates or corners, posts = panel bays + 1. The final bay may require a cut or custom panel; do not assume a full panel fits. Post foundations, spacing and height must suit local ground and wind exposure. Check boundaries and planning requirements.
